I used Joico Metallics for pastels, but every direct color or semi-permanent color with conditioner will do! Before blow drying, I recommend some volumizer for motion and then a textured layer to mess up once dry. Fine to medium hair for this short style is great! Due to the dark red undertone in the pastels, any skin tone can wear these colours. They compliment all types of skin! I agree that this pixie certainly needs a good personality to eliminate both the cut and the color comment.
