Worth seeing free web browser

Mozilla Firefox is a famous, free web browser since 2004. It fell out of favor in the last years, being overtaken by Chrome, browser newcomers and even the new , improved version of Windows Internet Explorer which actually made a good impression, despite some reservations. It took Firefox a bit longer to get back on their feet. It’s here now, but did it sufficiently?

A software that first places privacy

Mozilla Firefox isn’t a browser scene novice. For many years it was around and once was as popular – if not as popular – as Google Chrome. As Chrome flourished, however, it seemed to lose its shine and after 2013 the ratings seemed to slip further down. Well, Firefox has a brand new browser that focuses on privacy. Will it be sufficient to save the old browser or is it too late?

Download Firefox and install

The download for Firefox is as easy and fast as you would expect, as is the installation. There are very few dogs to sail through-instead of providing you with installation and sync options, it simply installs the browser and offers a subtle synchronization when done. Of course, the downside of this is that if you want a thorough control over the Firefox setup, you will have to immerse yourself in the options. We would certainly suggest that because Firefox provides a lot of control over various choices, including privacy. Since this may be one of the key reasons why you downloaded it, it’s worth taking a while. Click on three horizontal bars in the top-left of the window >Privacy Rights to test your options.

What Mozilla Firefox gives to users

Once you open Firefox, the first thing that you can note is how fast and attractive it is. The color scheme for purple and orange has been polished and all menus and options appear tidy, simple and easy to navigate. Also pleases the speed of Firefox, which is one of the main selling points. It’s all very good for Firefox and testers to tell us exactly how easy it (and they do), but when you’re using it it it looks and feels great, which is probably the most important aspect.

Through this link, Firefox often requires less memory to perform resource-hungry activities, such as playing a game or running other software on your machine. Firefox also addresses tabs in particular, stating that they modified the way the browser manages tab procedures to unlink them, making them quicker, more responsive and less likely to crash and crash.

The browser also offers a wide library of add-ons, which are a perfect way to expand the browser’s features. There are also several different themes, so even if you’re not interested in violet and orange, you can find other choices.

Quantum Firefox, Nightly, and more

A short detour – you can see other releases for grabs on Firefox and wonder which one you should pick. Here’s the offer:

Firefox: the regular edition you can possibly download

Firefox Quantum: the cool name draws users to Firefox Quantum, but sadly, it is just the name of the stable Firefox version released in 2017. Not all releases get names, but this one has been and has stuck in the minds of people.

Firefox Nightly: the most recent absolute build. Good features are perhaps, but bugs are again. Firefox Beta: the new build reviewed. A strong mix of coolness and stability.

Firefox Developer Edition: a version for developers as it is said on the tin

Extended Support Release for Firefox: This version is intended for people who handle large-scale Firefox deployments as in a large business. It is stable but has not all the latest features.

Firefox Lockwise, provider of passwords

One thing we didn’t want to see is: you can see some cool-sounding features like Lockwise, Track, and Submit when you look at Firefox ‘s features either on the Mozilla site or on the welcome page after you have installed the application. They ‘re integrated in a browser, but in order to use all their features, you need to sync your browser. Lockwise is the password manager. Monitor is not part of your browser, but it is a service which you need to access a Firefox account and Send is a completely separate web site. All this is not clear from the homepage and may look like all of the standard Firefox features are not quite true.

Firefox and privacy

For most people looking at Firefox, privacy gains are the biggest event – particularly if you want to make a change from Chrome. When it comes to publicity blockers, Firefox has some heavyweight weapons under the hood. The level of protection you need is selected from the browser and highly configurable standards, strict and custom modes are selected, and there are also several ad blocking extensions Firefox-approved for you to add to the protection level.

You can also control Firefox privacy extensively by examining the settings options – in both the Privacy Protections and the Options menus. You can tweak the advertising blockers here, as we described, and change permissions for items like the camera, allow or prevent Firefox from collecting information and determine when and how you deal with risky downloads and security certificates. There’s also a super-loaded, private tracker and a default password manager (but more advanced password managers can be accessed, including separate updates or supplements).

Finally, though it’s not a feature, Firefox has a clear, thorough and fairly straightforward official privacy approach, clarifying the data it monitors, who it shares and why. It’s good to see this simple approach.

Firefox is back in service as a major browser

We have been impressed by Firefox and once again see it as a full-blown top browser. It looks fine, moves quickly and has every feature you could want from a browser. It has add-ons and Firefox for Ios, achieves high accessibility and works hard to continue to update users’ apps. Obviously, privacy is an essential component of the charm of Firefox, but this dimension is something that confuses us. If you have no interest in privacy, it is unlikely that Firefox will provide you with enough information to tempt you from your existing browser.

If privacy is of great importance to you, it is likely you will find something more hard-core than Firefox, such as Firefox Focus, or one of the brand new privacy browsers built into it, such as Tor. For everyone else, Firefox is probably a good choice, but only if you’re driven away from your old browser – it’s not enough to get us to jump without encouragement. The UC Browser, Brave or Opera are other important alternatives.

Latest improvements

The new version of Firefox made specific security corrections and introduced updates as Firefox now provides users with Firefox screen reader cryptominers, a list of blocked trackers, and Firefox’s built-in breach warnings. Finally, Firefox is shipping new languages like Tagalog (tl) and Triqui (trs).
