The new V-8 and W-12 engines that powered the previous Continental GT generation provide extensive power. Our tests have shown that V-8, which has 542 horsepower, can launch the Continental coupe in 3.4 seconds to 60 mph. The more powerful W-12 engine produces 626 horsepower and in 3.3 seconds will drive a cup to 60 mph. Both use a new automatic eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that snaps super fast, but smooth gearshifts. With either engine, both cuts and convertibles can be ordered. All Continental GTs have a regular all-wheel drive setup.
We expect a luxurious cabin with a Bentley badge and this is no different for two doors. The interior is swaddled in fine wood veneers and luxurious leather and almost everything about the Continental GT is customisable – at a premium. Bentleys designers thought about all and every time a shocking detail shows behind the wheel, such as expertly knurled control pins and double-stitched diamond seat-patterned trimming.
Although the Continental GT is theoretically fitted with four seat belts, we would suggest that you avoid carrying people using the rear seat because your leg and headroom are both limited. During our study , we were able to fit five suitcases in the Continental ‘s trunk — lots of space for your best travel partner for a weekend.
